Dan + Denise: Sneak Peek

The day before Halloween we traveled up to Dan and Denise's wedding. It was a windy fall afternoon but they were prepared for an outdoor ceremony no matter what! Luckily we were able to get a few images outside before we headed inside the lodge to finish up family formals. It was really windy... and a little chilly!

The ceremony was beautiful;  complete with a great wedding party who all helped to make the day very special for Dan and Denise. Right after the ceremony we headed to the reception which looked stunning. The colors were perfect fall colors for the venue and the decor was neat and elegant. After dinner, Dan and Denise shared a very sweet first dance followed by a night of fun and tradition. A couple of touching toasts, an elegant cake to cut along with some guests ready to party means the night would be perfect! Hope you enjoy the sneak peek...

Dan + Denise- We have had a great time getting to know you and were thrilled to capture your wedding day for you. You both looked great and have so many friends and family members that were an absolute pleasure to be around. We wish you both the best and look forward to working with you in the future!

We love this shot of the Jr. Bridesmaid with the ringbearer...

Waiting for their turn with formals...

Right after Dan put the ring on Denise's finger...

Awwwww...

During a toast by the best man, Dan grabbed Denise's hand... so sweet!

Let's get this party started!

A pair of great swing dancers Dan and Denise knew.

Dan and his daughter dancing. Apparently Dan is not a dancing man. Well he sure got out on the dance floor quite a bit that evening!

A Family Outing

Wow... so somehow we have gotten 2 weeks behind on blog posts! We have had many weddings and events not to mention a few portrait sessions thrown in there as well. Here are a few images from a few Sundays ago with a fabulous family. It was a beautiful day outside and we had some great subjects to work with!

Karen + Tim: Sneak Peek

We spent part of our weekend at Andersen Mansion with Karen, Tim and a wonderful group of people they call their friends and family. Karen and Tim were getting married!

The day started with Karen rushing around the venue getting every last detail set up and then heading into finishing her make-up and donning her stunning wedding dress. Tim and his groomsmen arrived for formal images and then it was already time for the ceremony.

The room was packed. Family and friends spilled over into the foyer and adjoining room to witness their beautiful ceremony. Karen came down the stairs to join her father and began to cry tears of happiness. It was so touching!

After being pronounced man and wife, Tim and Karen finished up some formal images then it was onto the party! A first dance kicked it off along with some funny and heartfelt toasts. I think all in all, the night was a huge success! Karen and Tim are now Mr. and Mrs. and had a great group of people there to celebrate with them!

Karen + Tim: Thank you again for allowing us to capture your day. We had a great time and you guys looked awesome! We hope you are having a great time being married and we wish you the best!!!

Karen just after putting on her gown. She was SO excited she was actually getting married!

Love this one... she was just about to walk down the aisle with her daddy. It was such a blissful emotional moment, we don't think there was a dry eye in the whole room.

The happy couple!

Some reception details...

Grand entrance!

Some of the toasts were hilarious... obviously!

Family Session: Sneak Peek

This morning we met the lovely Bonnie, Bill, little Bill and Miss. Amy for a studio session. The look they were going for was black and white so they all came dressed in white shirts and jeans ready to smile. We had a great time getting to know them and really hope they love the results. Even though Miss Amy wasn't too into being the star of the show today, we were able to get some really sweet images of her along with her brother little Bill having a great time. Enjoy!

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...

Both big and little Bill had fun during a "Boys Only" part of the session.

How often do you get to stand on someone else's furniture?!?

Mom and Dad having a quite moment alone.

Joel and Joseph

Yesterday we got to spend some more time with the twins, Joel and Joseph along with their security... kinda. They came in for a specific session concerning a show they are working on and brought along a friend who was security in one of the images. The idea for the session was completely their idea. We think they turned out really awesome, what do you think?

Sona + Justin: Sneak Peek

On Saturday, we took a short drive up to the beautiful Blackstock Vineyards for the American wedding ceremony of Sona + Justin. It was a little rainy on the drive but cleared up as we arrived. Sona was with her entourage in a little cottage getting her hair and make-up done with her bridesmaids. Even though we walked in as they were all still getting pampered, they looked amazing! Sona waited patiently while the make-up artist made her look even more beautiful (if that is possible!). Over at the Vineyard, Justin was chilling out with his groomsmen in the cellar awaiting their formals.

It was a frigid day outside but they were ready to roll. After some group and single shots, it was time to hide him away and bring over his bride. The girls were troopers. It was SO cold and breezy but they were ready for their portraits with their sister and best friend Sona. We took several breaks throughout the day so that everyone could go inside to warm up. Unfortunately we couldn't really shoot inside as the reception was being set up and they was absolutely no room.

Then it was time for the ceremony. Again, it was outside. Yet somehow, during the exchanging of the vows and seeing the love in their eyes, the cold didn't seem to bother anyone that much. The ceremony went off without a hitch and it was off for a few more formals (with "heat breaks"!) and then onto the reception.

Luckily, the reception was inside. It was a beautiful intimate setting overlooking the vineyards with just enough room for dinner and dancing. After some heartfelt toasts, the night commenced with dancing, cake cutting and all of the traditions. It was a fun-loving group who had a blast dancing the night away. At some point, the lights were essentially turned off and the room was transformed into a club scene with lights and a fog machine. We were able to take some really cool shots with the help of a flash light and the fog.

The day went off so effortlessly and was perfect for the awesome couple. Hope you enjoy the sneak peek... we couldn't narrow it down so this is a big post!

Sona + Justin = Thank you both for allowing us to capture your day. We know it was cold but we were so glad you still opted to do images outside. You guys rock! We hope you have an amazing honeymoon together and enjoy spending time as Mr. and Mrs.!

We loved these shoes eventhough they were not the pair Sona originally planned on wearing. She had to buy these the day before the wedding since her original shoes lost part of the heel!

Before getting her hair perfect, the hairstylists and Sona had a little fun trying out several different time period up-dos.

Stunning...

Love, love, love this candid shot.

Justin in the cellar with the barrels of wine!

Awesome car, awesome guys, awesome scenery...

A particularly touching moment during the ceremony...

Awwww... her pulled her close to keep her warm while a song was playing that represented how they felt about each other.

Pure JOY!

It was a party for sure!

Tradition is important in every ceremony... even if it happens right before getting in the car to leave!

Justin is officially making Sona his bride with direction from her mother.

What a way to end the evening!
